About Us
Strathcona Church is home to a collective of Christian ministries who share a beautiful church space to fulfill a unified vision for ministering to the community in Strathcona, Chinatown, and the Downtown Eastside.
We are a diverse community of churches and ministries working together as ‘The Body of Christ’. We affirm, enjoy and leverage our differences to encourage compassion, hope, and mutual transformation among people from differing ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds.
The desire of Strathcona Church is to support the body of Christ as it ministers to the whole community through compassion, healing, nurture, and encouragement.
We believe in the mutual transformation between the “Church” and the wider community.
We envision our building to be like a thriving community center, fully utilized by Strategic Ministry Partners with whom we are called to serve.
