Built in 1910, Strathcona Church is a beautifully restored heritage building and the recipient of the Vancouver Heritage Award 2015.

BOOKING YOUR WEDDING

Please contact us via email to admin@strathconachurch.com with your preferred date(s). A request to reserve the Church should be made as early as possible, as bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kindly note we only accept bookings within the next 12 months.

To secure your wedding event, a security deposit of $300 will place your date on our calendar. This deposit will be used to cover any incidental damages. The deposit will be promptly refunded as long as there are no issues upon completion of the event. Refunds for event cancellation will vary depending on when we are notified of the cancellation.

Fees (Updated July 10, 2025)

  1. Sanctuary Rental up to 4 hours – $900 (additional hours – $100/hr)
  2. Facility Management – $100
  3. Post-event Cleaning – $100

Optional fees:

Microphone and Sound system – $150
Wedding rehearsal (up to 3 hours) – $200

Other Details:

Although we do not provide pastoral services for your wedding, we can make referrals upon request.

The grand piano may be available upon special request – please contact us for more details.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

As Strathcona Church is a heritage building, it is important to maintain the integrity of the building and its heritage.

The following conditions apply for all events at the Church:

  • No alcohol or smoking are permitted on the premises.
  • No open flames are permitted within the Church.
  • No rice, confetti, real plants or flowers are to be used inside or outside areas surrounding the Church. Artificial flower arrangements are permitted. Bridal party bouquets with real flowers are allowed as long as stems are dry.
  • No tape, decorations, or punctures on the walls, fixtures or ceilings.
  • No pets or other animals are permitted in the Church, other than registered service dogs assisting persons with disabilities.
